Harold E. Akers, 54 of Terre Haute entered into Heaven Friday February 3, 2012 with his loving family at his side. Mr. Akers was born in Terre Haute November 2, 1957 the son of Eugene and Jenevive (Walker) Akers. Harold was a self employed brick mason, a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and a United States Veteran. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother Daniel Akers. Survivors include his wife Terry (Lawson) Akers of Terre Haute; sons Joshua Lloyd and Allen (Tiffany) Lloyd all of Terre Haute; Daughters Bonnie and Jenny Akers both of Terre Haute; Step-son Steven Flack of Terre Haute; Brothers Robert and Dude Akers both of Terre Haute, Joe Akers of Arkansas, Mike Akers of Clinton and Sister Ann Cox of Terre Haute, several Grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Tuesday, 10:00 AM at Grandview Cemetery with Pastor Clyde Gregg officiating; immediately following there will be a memorial service at New Bethel Baptist Church 3001 Maple Avenue with a fellowship meal following. The Family would like to give special thanks to Pastor Clyde Gregg and the New Bethel Baptist church for their prayers and support at this difficult time. Please deiver flowers to the church. Harold was a brother,he was buddy.growing up with Harold was never boreing we had good times & bad but thats life.We become realy close on our hunting trips.I seen a man in my brother I never saw before.Years later when he found chirst it was the best thing that he in his life.&[his wife ]
I know its sad now but I know he belive in God & I know were he is now he,s talking to MOM&GRANDMA,& BOON So grive but be happy the same time LOVE YOU BROTHER
