Darrell R. Moore Jr., 53, (Dink), went to be with the Lord Feb. 17, 2012.
He was born Jan. 3, 1959, to Darrell Sr., and Dinah (Waymire) Moore.
He attended Brazil High School, class of 1977. He then joined the National Guard.
He was a veteran of the Desert Storm War.
On Feb. 26, 1977, he married Leandra Orick.
He worked as a truck driver and a mechanic. He enjoyed working on and racing stock cars with his brothers. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Darrell Sr., brother Kevin and brother Charles Frye, and nephews Dillon Wright and Stephen Moore.
Survivors include his wife Leandra, daughters Tina (Bob), Ina (Dallas), and son Darrell III, grandchildren Dakota Laswell, Dallas, Brayden and Alexsis Wright, Brothers Bill (Kelly), Steve (Tammy), sisters Loretta Frye, Jayne Harrington (Les), Amy Wright (Arley), close friends Stoney and Nikki Lalen, Gene and Wesley Okulovich, Bob and Vickie Cox, Marv Brown, and Bill Tenner, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was a father of three, but a dad to many.
Military rights and services will be at Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, 2861 W. SR 340, Brazil, Ind., 47834, Feb. 24, 2012, at 4 p.m., with Stoney Lalen officiating.
A celebration of his life will be at the church at 2 p.m., until time of service.
A fellowship dinner will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to his wife would be appreciated.
